A Summer to Create a Studio on Wheels

I have finally taken the steps to make a long-time dream of mine come true. After two years of watching and contemplating the investment into a Travel Trailer, I took the plunge last March and bought one out of Ohio.

Needless to say, there were many, many challenges to get from point A to having it in my driveway in primo condition, ready to roll.
I also did an interior redo which consumed more time but was well worth the effort for the atmosphere.

This is my new baby:

She's a 2002 Coleman 25' trailer with two slides.
The front area is the bed which slides over the hitch and the dining area slides out too.

She was in beautiful shape but did require some upgrades not only for safety reasons but for expanding the time I could stay out.

I put in new & larger propane tanks, a new regulator and had a top-of-the-line anti-sway hitching system rigged.
I have two bunks in the rear which are going to be great for storage of art materials, etc., there's a great frig and a cozy bathroom complete with a shower and bathtub.

My hope is to paint on location all over the place and enjoy the wild & open spaces.

You did a beautiful job on the trailer. Durango and Hattie look like they are all ready to go. Happy Travels Cheri.

Hi Vicki
Thank you so much!
I have a feeling the dogs are going to be very happy in it. It's like a big playhouse for them! ;)

Wow, I had no idea you'd left Etsy! There is some serious craziness going on there!

On a more positive note -- I hope you've already begun to enjoy your 'studio on wheels'. What an awesome concept; you're so lucky to have the resources to pursue such a thing!

I hope you find all the creativity, adventure, fun and peace you can imagine, out there on the road! :-)

Hi Wendy!

Boy, you've got that right about the strange happenings. I closed due to a combination of events and some of them are my personal desires to go in new artistic directions.

I haven't had much time to enjoy the trailer yet but all the work and upgrading will be worth it. ;)

I wish you the best too! I am sure I can find everyone on the net and I fully intend to try to keep up.

I've just had a desire to get back into the "real" world... at my age it's important to me to chase some of my personal dreams before I am too old to do so. I've been so frugal and saving nickels & dimes for this. Hehe, a bitty-boat is next!

We'll keep an eye out for you and I hope you have a great holiday season!
